PRODUCT DETAILS

In many older Connecticut homes, the bathroom was laid out long before anyone thought about an outlet next to the toilet. That detail matters when you are considering a toilet lift.

The DL2 runs on a rechargeable battery, so it does not need an outlet beside the toilet. It can also be plugged in. Up and down buttons sit on both handlebars, so either hand can operate it while holding on, and a wireless remote lets a family member or caregiver run it from a step away, which can help keep the moment private.

We selected the DL2 for bathrooms without a convenient outlet, and for households where more than one person may operate the lift. Its smooth, low-seam housing is also easier to wipe down than an open frame.

An optional bedside commode kit is available from Dignity Lifts for the DL2. Ask us if that would be useful.

Checking the fit before you order

Measure from the center of your toilet bowl to the nearest wall, tub, or vanity on each side, and check your toilet rim height. Toilets with a tank that flares sharply forward at the base may not fit. Dignity Lifts publishes a short "Will it fit?" guide, and we are glad to walk through your measurements with you before you order.

Returns: please read before ordering

Toilet lifts follow the Dignity Lifts return policy, not our standard 30-day return.

  • Within 30 days of purchase, Dignity Lifts accepts an unopened box with the outer strapping intact (10% restocking fee), or a lift that could not be installed, returned with all parts in the original box and packing (20% restocking fee).
  • A lift that has been used, or whose toilet-seat protective wrap has been removed, cannot be returned.
  • Lifts without their original box and packing materials cannot be returned, so please keep them until you are sure the lift fits.
  • Contact us before sending anything back, and we will arrange the return with Dignity Lifts.

Questions and answers

No. It runs on a rechargeable battery and can also be plugged in.

Will it fit my toilet?
It works with toilet rims from 14 to 18.5 inches high and needs about 12.5 inches of clearance from the center of the bowl on each side. Bowls under 16.5 inches wide fit inside the lift.

Can someone else operate it?
Yes. A wireless remote is included, along with up/down buttons on both handlebars.

How much weight does it hold?
300 lbs.

How does it ship, and what does shipping cost?
UPS Ground directly from Dignity Lifts to the lower 48 states, typically 3 to 7 business days. Dignity Lifts sets the shipping cost when the order ships, usually $50 to $100. Carl P., Dignity Lifts customer

"This is a life changer for my brother. My brother was having difficulties getting on and off the toilet. He was hesitant to go. Now, he is at ease."

Dignity Lifts customer

Good to know

A toilet lift is a piece of home equipment, not a medical treatment. If you are unsure whether a lift suits someone's needs, it is worth discussing with an occupational therapist or physician. Ships by UPS Ground directly from Dignity Lifts in Troy, Michigan. Check current specifications and installation requirements with us or the manufacturer before ordering.
