The Founder's Story
John McBride spent 35 years in Connecticut real estate — not just selling homes, but protecting the families who lived in them. As a Local Board of Realtors President and Ethics Committee Chair, he built a career on one belief: that a home isn't a transaction. It's a legacy.
Then came a back surgery, a recovery room, and a wife named Pam who showed up every day with something — a volcano kit, Play-Doh, food coloring — showing up with intention and love made tangible. And a question that wouldn't go away: what do families actually need in their homes, and who's making sure it's safe, sustainable, and worth keeping?
That question became GenTree Home.
We bring the same fiduciary standard John applied to protecting Connecticut families' most valuable asset — their home — to every product we carry. If it isn't purposeful, durable, and kind to the planet, it doesn't make our shelf.
